The World's Largest Potluck Ever!

WARD 2 was asked to conceive the presentation drawing for artist kanarinka's public art submission to the city of Cambridge. Catie D'Ignazio, aka kanarinka, was one of ten short-listed submissions for a public art project along the Cambridge Street corridor, from Inman Square to Lechmere.

Her ephemeral but visceral proposal asked to delineate the length of the street with the physical and edible contributions of neighbors and businesspeople all along the corridor. The high-art / low-art project seeks to break the Guiness Book of World Records for the largest potluck, currently held at 602 dishes. The drawing was used in community gallery opening featuring sample home-made dishes from residents of Cambridge.
